So I was tagged in the Throne of Glass book tag by the lovely Libby, and before I start I’d like to mention that I’ve actually never read Throne of Glass. It’s on my TBR, but I’ve never actually read it, nor do I own it, so maybe I’ll eventually get to that. We’ll see I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I’m not officially tagging anyone, just whoever wants to do it! So have fun!
1)Lysabdra: A book with a cover change you loved
Definitely the Percy Jackson series, I used to have the old covers, and they were great, but honestly I love the new covers! THEY’RE SO PRETTY I NEED THEM!
2) Abrazos: A book that’s better on the inside than it looks on the outside
I’m gonna say The Selection because on the outside it looks just like every other contemporary novel, but in reality it’s so much more than that!
3) Erilea: A series with great world-building
Harry Potter, honestly, there really aren’t any gaps left in the world. Nothing to question at all about how the world runs and no inconsistencies within the world (of course not counting Cursed Child, but why would I?)
4) Rifthold: A book that combines genres
Probably Cress, which wonderfully combines sci-fi, dystopian, and fairy tale retellings!(Is that a genre? I’m gonna count it as one.) I love this series so much, but this just so happened to be the one sitting on my shelf when I looked at it.
5) Damaris: a book based on/inspired by a myth/legend
So, I’m gonna use the obvious one (which is any of Rick Riordan’s books really) and choose Heroes of Olympus. I mean the whole series is based on a combination of Roman and Greek mythology so what could fit the topic better?
6)Kaltain Rompire: a book with an unexpected twist
Stalking Jack the Ripper! OMG THAT PLOT TWIST AT THE END!! I WAS LIKE DEAD! SO DID NOT EXPECT THAT! I THINK IT MOST LIKELY FINISHED OFF MOST OF THE SANITY I HAD LEFT!! NOW I’M LEFT WITH A VERY LOW AMOUNT THAT IS VERY UNSAFE!
7) Assassin’s Keep: a book with an unreliable narrator
So, normally I’d say Harry Potter but I’m trying really hard to branch out, so instead I’ll say Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. Our narrator is Jacob Portman, and we can’t completely trust him, as he’s not only grieving but has no control over his emotions at all, which probably clouded his judgement and how he perceived situations.
8) Astern Black Beak: a book that’s got squad goals.
Maximum Ride, I’d honestly LOVE to be part of the flock! Like, they’re all so cool, and also I’d love to have flying wings, maybe not so much the on the run part though.
9) Terrasen: a book that feels like home
I have to say Harry Potter, no way around it. Honestly, no matter how much I grow and change, this is the one thing that will stay consistent. (That sounded like a really cheesy love quote guys, that’ll be a part of a book I’ll never write.)
10) Aelin Ashryver Gala Thy Niasl: a book with the power to destroy you..
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE ONE? THEY ALL HAVE THIS POWER! IT’S INSANE! If I have to choose one I’m gonna go with Mockingjay because WHY! Why must you hurt me in my feels so badly? I think authors have made a deal with the Devil and they get super awesome writing skills, that increase with all the pain they cause. It’s official, I’ll write a conspiracy post about it later.
11) Rhanon Black Beak: a book that intimidated you
Escape from Asylum was definitely a trip outside my comfort zone (although it is now definitely within my comfort zone! I love it!) mostly because of the fact that it’s about an asylum where they improperly treat patients. But it was SO GOOD and I’m glad I read it. (Also, in case anyone was wondering I’m kinda obsessed with torture and death, but I swear I’m sane)
12) Rowan White Horn: a book that makes you swoon
The Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone 20th anniversary covers! They have covers unique to your house, and they’re so pretty!! (I said I would try no to include Harry Potter too many times, did you really expect me to stick to that?)
13) Chael Westfall: a book that challenged you to see things differently
This one is actually a nonfiction book called The Four Agreements, and if you’ve been here lately you probably know that I’m OBSESSED with this book! It was just so good, and I really need to get started on following those guidelines, but I keep forgetting.
14) Fleetfoot: a book that you received as a gift
The Witch & Wizard series by James Patterson was a gift from my grandmother. She gets me every new book in this series, but I don’t have the heart to tell her I hate the series. At least the covers look good on my shelf.
15) Eye of Elena: a book you found right when you needed it
Stalking Jack the Ripper. I was in quite a reading slump and this pulled my out of it, it was amazing! Plus I’m super into torture techniques and this book centers around a serial killer so what better to pull me out of a slump?
This sounds amazing, definitely doing this later! I love your answers! 🙂

I just found an Amazon gift card, so I might be buying books sooner than I thought, just to make my already cramped bookshelves SO MUCH PRETTIER!

Thanks😊 Honestly, I didn’t expect to like The Selection series, because I typically don’t like romance, but I loved the series!

I liked the first Selection books more than the ones focusing on their children tbh 😦 I would’ve love to seen the couple from the first couple of books during their reign.

I would’ve like to see that too, but I personally loved the last two because I relate very strongly to their daughter, so I enjoyed them a ton.

Oooh I want to read Stalking Jack the Ripper! (Also how is that title SO FAB THO.) And omg Mockingjay though.❤️💔 I’m pretty sure Susan Collins just lives to make us all CRY. In the best possible way.😂 And the Lunar Chronicles is the best genre-mashing-up series I’ve ever read!! I loved your picks for the questions!
